Interpenetration
In my paintings I try to capture the fleeting state or the transformation of one form into another. The stylistic variety which consists on the confrontation of formal contrast solutions (from classical realism to modern tendencies in painting), is used to present a kind of emotional stress, the feeling of being torn apart. The paintings are becoming the visualization of a stream of consciousness and existential anxiety in an attempt to sort out inner chaos. The subject of my works is the universal problem of imperfection and the fleeting nature of human life. People are defined by the things they surround themselves with and by the things that they leave after they pass on. Those objects are a metaphor of our earthly life which I collate with the wish for eternity. Radosław Jastrzębski |
